Summary

I loved this book。 I love the entire Zodiac Academy series and each book has gotten better and better。。。this one is no exception。 *Spoilers**********I love the story between Darius and Tory。 Despite being starcrossed， they still manage to steal moments together。 Darius is really growing as a person and the little things like getting Tory her coffee every morning are just the sweetest。 I love the relationship that has formed between Darcy， Geraldine and the Heirs。 The friendships that have formed I loved this book。 I love the entire Zodiac Academy series and each book has gotten better and better。。。this one is no exception。 *Spoilers**********I love the story between Darius and Tory。 Despite being starcrossed， they still manage to steal moments together。 Darius is really growing as a person and the little things like getting Tory her coffee every morning are just the sweetest。 I love the relationship that has formed between Darcy， Geraldine and the Heirs。 The friendships that have formed are amazing and I really hope this could be a glimpse of the future where the Vega's rule and the Heirs are their Council。 The little scene in Kings Hollow when they are having a play fight and just having fun was so sweet， it was one of my favourite parts of the book。 I especially love the brother/sister relationship that is forming between Darius and Darcy。 They both needed someone to lean on and they found that in each other。 They have both had Orion and Tory taken from them and can understand each others pain。 Max and Geraldine make a cute couple and I love that Max just adores her for her， buttery bagels and all！ She has really grown to be one of my favourite characters。 Seth and Caleb。。。boys， boys， boys。 If only they would talk to each other！ I really think they could have something special （possible Elysian Mates but not too sure yet）。 I love that Seth confides in Darcy and is there for her through the hard times she is going through。 Darcy and Orion。。。Yes！ I was so worried we wouldn't get to see them interact anymore but as soon as Orion was released from Darkmore I knew we would get some amazing moments。 （Side note on the chapters from Lance's POV when he is in Darkmore。。。he briefly mentions some certain characters and they may or may not appear in the Darkmore Penitentiary series set 5 years after this！） They clearly still love each other。 The little moments with Seth trying to make him jealous are funny。 Lance being made leader of the Zodiac Guild was perfect。。。I have thought for a while that whilst he was firmly team Heir。。。his feelings for Darcy changed things and maybe he was starting to think maybe the Vega's should rule。。。this just proves it。 I know the authors want to keep things spoiler free so you can read the Darkmore Penitentiary books and the Ruthless Boys books without anything being ruined。。。but I wish there would have been more interacting with Gabriel's family。 It's mentioned that there is a Lion Shifter in the battle and they get away on a storm dragon， who Tory meets at a party earlier in the book， but they could have done more。 The fact that when Tory meets Dante at the party it seems like she doesn't really know him confused me because as Gabriel's sister， she would of course already met Dante！ That ending was intense。 Darius making that deal with the stars， Lionel being hurt， the fucking curse the Shadow Princess put on Darcy！！！ I binge read the first 6 books so this is the first cliffhanger I read where I couldn't jump straight into the next one and at the time of finishing this book， I had to wait 4 months for book 7！ Lionel needs to die。 Lavinia needs to die。 Darius needs to find a way to break the deal because he cannot die。 They need to break the curse on Darcy because I refuse to have her be hurt！ 。。。more

Okay after 6 books I have to say it。。。。the double question marks！ I can't take them seriously！ For what reason？？ I am confident they have now made an appearance in EVERY book MULTIPLE times and I die a little with each time。 ？？That being said， this book was definitely enjoyable despite the qualms I had with it。 Darcy is finally becoming a badass。 Tory and Darius are finally getting their shit together。 There is a light， albeit a small one。 The things I just couldn't overlook:（view spoiler）[-Dari Okay after 6 books I have to say it。。。。the double question marks！ I can't take them seriously！ For what reason？？ I am confident they have now made an appearance in EVERY book MULTIPLE times and I die a little with each time。 ？？That being said， this book was definitely enjoyable despite the qualms I had with it。 Darcy is finally becoming a badass。 Tory and Darius are finally getting their shit together。 There is a light， albeit a small one。 The things I just couldn't overlook:（view spoiler）[-Darius's 180 personality shift。 He's all about Tory in the last book and this book， except when the throne gets brought up he's randomly like "no that's still mine I will fight you for it" and does the whole I earned it over you bullshit to TORY。 I'm sorry fight her then？ What？ Excuse me？ It didn't make sense。 At all。 ESPECIALLY given what he learned about the Savage King and his father being behind all of it。 I'm sorry but that was totally OOC and unnecessary in this book。 Especially considering the ending。-I think it's so bizarre that so much is centered around the Imperial Star and yet NO ONE has any idea what it does at all。 What？ Not even an inkling？ Why is this not touched on more？-I'm all for the Caleb/Seth budding romance， but it does feel a little out of nowhere and forced。 I wish that wasn't the case。 I still ship them。-There is some really spotty explanation around Clara's abilities。 I feel like there were things she couldn't sense in this book that she definitely could have sensed in past。 She's made out as this super OP character but our MCs got SO much past her this book that it left me super confused with her actual powers。-There are so many MCs in this book that I had a hard time being invested in the heirs siblings。 Xavier's POVs dragged on because there was so much unnecessary substance there that just slowed down the whole plot。 I skimmed his POVs like you wouldn't believe。 Overall I felt Max， Geraldine （even though I love her） and Xavier's POVs bloated this book more than it already was。-REPETITION。 This series is constantly one bad thing after another happening and it's honestly becoming harder to enjoy the longer it drags out。 The characters are constantly being thrown in the same situations and honestly it's becoming exhausting and losing its initial appeal。 I'm actually so stressed to think about there being 2 books left。 Hopefully 7 will be the last one and 8 will be another little spin-off of sorts， otherwise I don't know how I will make it through 2 more 800+ page books when things are definitely starting to run their course。（hide spoiler）] 。。。more

I really did give this series a very good go。 There were so many things I enjoyed about it， but after 6 huge books， thousands and thousands of pages with nothing being resolved and things constantly going from bad to worse to absolutely awful I have to throw in the towel。 I’m disappointed， because as I said there were so many things about this world that I did enjoy， but things are still being dragged out from the first book with no resolution in sight and I’m tired。 There are so many other book I really did give this series a very good go。 There were so many things I enjoyed about it， but after 6 huge books， thousands and thousands of pages with nothing being resolved and things constantly going from bad to worse to absolutely awful I have to throw in the towel。 I’m disappointed， because as I said there were so many things about this world that I did enjoy， but things are still being dragged out from the first book with no resolution in sight and I’m tired。 There are so many other books I want to read I can’t force myself to sit through any more of these ones。 。。。more

*Spoiler-free review*Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5Steam: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ 4/5Age: New Adult Genre: Urban Fantasy/ Romance This was the final book in my Zodiac Academy reread which has been taking over my life for the last several weeks， and I have loved every minute of it。 The world， magic system， and characters that these authors created are all so incredible。 Like all of the ZA books， the character development continued to be a dominant part of the storyline and also happened to be my favourite part。 By this sixt *Spoiler-free review*Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5Steam: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ 4/5Age: New Adult Genre: Urban Fantasy/ Romance This was the final book in my Zodiac Academy reread which has been taking over my life for the last several weeks， and I have loved every minute of it。 The world， magic system， and characters that these authors created are all so incredible。 Like all of the ZA books， the character development continued to be a dominant part of the storyline and also happened to be my favourite part。 By this sixth book， I have absolutely come to care for these characters as if they were actual people in my life which makes everything they go through seem even more real and therefore captivating。 I could really feel while reading this book that we're nearing the top of the very steep climb towards the series' ultimate climax。 The obstacles the characters faced became much darker and more serious than in previous books， and with much higher stakes。 The pacing increased even further and it was packed with a lot more action-heavy， heart-rate-accelerating moments than the rest of the series had。 One thing I found is that everytime I thought something good or exciting was about to happen， things would take a turn and get even grimmer instead。 The goal here was definitely to cause intentional frustration that I'm sure will continue to build in the next book and be ultimately resolved in the eighth。 However， that constant frustration really did detract from my ability to enjoy this book the way I did the previous ones。 I almost took half a star rating off because of it， but decided that wouldn't be fair since the writing was clearly incredible if it could draw me to that level of exasperation。 Just be warned going in that it will robably break you and then stomp over your shattered pieces。 All that being said， I still absolutely recommend this series and would love for all of you to join me in being destroyed by it。 Book seven is being released the day this post goes up so if you're reading this， I'm probably in a bubble devouring the next book！ 。。。more
